Oh shoot!

I don't think this bamboo is a clumper...


The original plant is the 3' tall clump at the bottom right of the photo. I planted it a couple of years ago and have no idea where I originally got it, though I thought I had obtained a nice clumping type.

Last year it grew a couple of feet upwards from its original height of about a foot... then this spring it totally surprised me by putting up these massive canes.

Guess it's time to close down my nursery, give up on the food forest and move. Hehhehheh.
