A nice look at azolla

Chrissy takes a look at the imminently useful azolla:

I need to get some of this stuff. I've been acquiring aquatic plants and haven't nailed down any azolla yet. I'd love to try it as chicken feed.

Thank you.
Later this fall, when Silver Springs officially becomes a state park, we will have to come up your way with some plants to trade. If we go at Christmastime, my gingers and cannas will be dormant and ready for trade.
Meanwhile, the temperatures and sunlight are finally making the azolla grow like crazy. I harvested my pond last week, and within a week's time it's ready to harvest again. I'm sure your duckweed has taken off as well.

Looks like I'll have some after Silver Springs becomes a state park. ;)
