i still maintain that they're Doing It Wrong. Complying with a fencing ruling really isnt that big of a deal. Dont they know, as city dwellers, that they have a duty to maintain their house, and that includes curb appeal? Especially in Orlando.
So now i think that by not doing the simple fencing, they are arguing for the sake of arguing and as to make a name for his consulting business. i just dont buy that they cant afford fencing. they can afford seeds and property taxes and hairspray, right?
its abominable how outrageous this has gotten and how their liberty has been trodden on. but they choose to live there. then they choose to not comply with ordinances...
i dont see anyone complaining about my front yard garden...

I really don't think they're Doing It Wrong, Chrissy. Despite what their complaining neighbor said, his business is not related to gardening at all. They're total newbies. It is their land, after all, and there are many more rotten things they can do other than garden on it. Freedom is a tenuous thing... if we can't use our own property that we pay so much for... we're really living like serfs. Someone has to just go for it. They're not hurting anyone by planting a garden. And also, according to Orlando code, they were not in violation when they planted it. This is a low-income rental neighborhood without an HOA. I've talked with them quite a bit about what's going on and they would simply like nice gardens to be affordable for everyone. Hairspray affordability or not. ;)

Plenty of us would rather look at a garden than a typical weedy Florida yard anyhow.
