TERRIFYING

























This is me in my most horrifying Halloween costume EVER!

Stinkbug...right? Had tons of them all over my raspberries this year. Was too afraid to mess with them, because their spray that they shoot will make all the fruit taste like...stinkbug.. :(
Apparently big problems with them this year up the entire coast!

That's one of the common names. My daughter caught one once and it sprayed her in the eye with something nasty. A friend ID'd mine as "leaf-footed bugs."

I live in Texas and this year all my squash and cucumber plants were completely covered by these bugs. Any plants I can use to run them off my garden? or natural non human toxic repellents?

Knocking them into a bowl of soap water works well. Sevin dust isn't that toxic and should whack them, though you might also try just spraying with hot pepper water first. Get a few of the hottest peppers you can find, chop them up, pour boiling water over them and let the mixture sit overnight, then strain out the peppers the next day and add a couple of drops of dish soap. Good stuff.
